SkinPen microneedling consists of 3 steps, usually taking about 30 minutes. The 3 steps consist of:

Inflammation

The tiny needles penetrate your skin’s surface, which triggers a natural immune response. This temporary inflammation will work to increase blood flow, remove debris, and allow for creation of new skin tissue.

Proliferation

New granulation cells and a new network of blood vessels develop naturally in the micro-channels.

Remodeling

New dermal tissues are created, rich in collagen and elastin to improve skin quality.

The process does not involve any chemicals or heat, so it’s generally considered safe for all skin tones and types.

PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)

Prime Youth Aesthetics also offers PRP therapy alongside our microneedling service.

PRP, or platelet rich plasma, is a therapy that uses concentrated platelets from your blood to promote healing and tissue regeneration.

After a quick blood draw to obtain platelets, your blood is spun in a centrifuge, separating platelet-rich plasma, and injecting it back into the body. 



PRP releases growth factors that stimulate cell growth, collagen production, and blood vessel formation, aiding in wound healing, skin elasticity, texture, and volume.
